The Florida Aquarium holds and showcases thousands of aquatic plants and animals, both native to the state and from lands far away. One of its most unique attractions is the Swim with the Fishes opportunity, where guests as young as six years old can get suited with scuba gear and travel with thousands of brightly colored fish through the simulated Coral Reef Gallery. Other areas include touch tanks, a children's water play area, live animal shows and many aquarium exhibits featuring everything from sharks to sea horses to sea lions. The aquarium is just north of the Channelside Bay Plaza in downtown Tampa, near the SS American Victory Mariner’s Memorial and Museum Ship.
