Description:

A sanctuary for tigers, lions, lynx, jaguars and more, Big Cat Rescue is an educational center dedicated to caring for these beautiful creatures and teaching the public about their natural habitats, needs and conservation efforts. Visitors can take one of the center's day tours, lasting about an hour and a half, which displays more than 100 of these stunning mammals, or opt for one of its more specialized events, including animal feeding tours, nighttime tours and keeper for a day tours. The facility is on the northwestern edge of Tampa, near the Westfield Citrus Park shopping center.

Hours of Operation:

Day tours run Mon. - Fri. at 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.; Sat. 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Children under 10 allowed only on Saturday tour at 9:30 a.m.

Day tour: Adults $25; Children (under 10) $15.
